Don’t Leave

When the Israelites where now living more as a community and set up, the LORD decided to leave them work the first six days of the week, and rest the seventh day, that hasn't really changed in our society because most of the people work Mondays through Saturdays and they rest Sunday. When Moses talked with God, the people started making many offerings, and the LORD wanted them to do many more things. "The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls."(30; 15) The LORD expected everyone to make an offering, he didn't want someone to give more or less than another and he was just trying to give credit for the purpose of the action and not the action as a whole.

"And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him." (32; 1) people tend to follow one person and when they leave, the rest of the group suffers because they have no idea of what to do. This was what happened with the children of Israel, they started to follow and worship another god, the God of gold. The LORD wanted the Israelites to believe in him, and since they started to follow the God of Gold, he sent back Moses with his commandments and shone his face up so that all the Israelites would follow him and not the other god. "And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai." (34; 32) God can accomplish all that he wants, one way or another, difficult situations may occur to his followers, but everything will somehow get better.
