Finally Killed

After Gilgamesh and Enkidu talked with Ninsun they started their journey to the forest to kill Huwawa, this was a very risky expedition. Through this long trip, they encounter some problems like being thirsty and not finding any water, they had few food, and at night their resting time Gilgamesh could rarely sleep. These problems made their journey a little more complicated, but meanwhile they have had a great opportunity to meet and help each other, just like friends. As the book states, "Two people, companions, they can prevail together against the terror."(pg.26) meaning that as they get to know each other better, they begin to know their difficulties and their strengths, they will help themselves in any case.

When they arrived at the cedar forest, they were very frightened, but they were pretty sure that the god Shamash would help them overcome this beast. They meant that when your beliefs in gods are very strong, they may help you overcome hard situation, in this case they overcame Huwawa, a terrible monster everyone was afraid of. With their magnificent courage they killed the Huwawa and cut off the cedar tree to be able to make the city gate, this was to demonstrate how courageous they had been. This could represent that anyone can be able to overcome weaknesses and fears, but you have to be able to admit and try very hard to beat these things.

After these Tablets, I have been able to answer some of the questions I had asked before, they both entered the forest and killed Huwawa without any major problem, and Gilgamesh did survive the forest. My other question still prevails, what will happen with their friendship?
