Most of the texts have a historical influence and are written according to the epoch they are written in. This text could be one of the biggest influences for the King James Bible, as it talks about King James influences before and while being King. That historical moment was very violent and as told in the text, it was a terrible time where people didn't really liked their monarchy. It was also very socially classified and people were treated according to their social strata "social differences between men were not an unfortunate result of economics or power politics, nor a distortion of how things ought to be but a sign that society was well ordered."(pg.16) here you can actually realize that people didn't really noticed the effect that social differences can have on other people and this might have been a vast influence on King James. I can surely say that having some knowledge of the historical background of the translator of The Bible will help me see the text with a different perspective on the language or some themes that I might happen to come along with. I am questioning if the text will actually have some comments on King James life or life in England during his reign.
