An Introduction Is a Whole

In the time period the translation was made, the power influenced by the people made a great political pressure that would persuade the author to make it a very big part of their image. The epoch of this translation was a very defiant one, and the power wasn't well distributed between the church and the government. This was a very complicated time for England and its people. Another big influence was the fight between people for their different opinions of the monarchy and the political power. (preface)The authors of The Bible were influenced by their peers, but they still had their own perspective of life and had their opinions intact. As they thought in a similar way they didn't actually wanted to gain attention, but they wanted their thoughts to be written in a universal text as it's the Bible, they don't want to change their language or their style. "Their subject was neither ancient nor modern, but both or either. It was the universal text."(pg. xii) I really like the idea of not changing their style and beliefs because of the influences, but having their own thoughts and being firm with them.
