Will He Live For Ever?

As these Tablets starts, Gilgamesh has found people he think might help him get to Utnapishtim. He thinks he will get the force of becoming a god in a very short time, he's just afraid of death, and what could happen with you after your death. He started becoming conscious about this since Enkidu died and he saw the worm going out of his nose. When he had the opportunity of meeting with Utnapishtim, he just told him the story of how he had become a member of the gods' society; it is almost the same story of Noah's Arch. It's a very strange way of comparing how one became a god with this story because this might be compared to stories trying to answer the QUESTions in other contexts.

When Utnapishtim tells his story, he tries to make it clear that things occur how they are supposed to happen according to the gods and person's accomplishments, not on people's desire. "Tell me, who would bring all the gods together so that for you the might in council decide what your deserving is, that you be granted into the company of gods?"(pg.75) Through this quotation you can easily notice what was mentioned before that you don't decide on your future, but the gods opinion will affect anything that happens to you. You also have to be patient and not expect everything to happen at the time you want, but at the time that the gods consider it necessary. If Gilgamesh keeps following what Utnapishtim tells him, will Gilgamesh ever be approved into the company of gods, or will he die before this happens?
